British gangs have teamed up with Spanish Travellers to grow drugs on the “Costa del Crime”.
Dealers are renting land and producing cannabis on an industrial scale.
One Manchester lad who’s been farming weed for five years told how the Travellers control the trade with an iron fist.
He said: “Everyone thinks it’s the big organised crime gangs in the Costas that control the movement of drugs from Spain.
“That’s largely true when it comes to the big coke deals. But when it comes to cannabis, it’s the Travellers that run that.
“They have certain areas on lockdown – even the police won’t touch you.
