100k Key Staff Get Tests

More than 100,000 critical workers will be fast-tracked for lateral flow tests to stop Britain grinding to a halt.

PM Boris “Bozo” Johnson said staff in fields ranging from food processing to transport and Border Force will get kits every working day from Monday so they do not self-isolate unnecessarily.

England’s chief medical officer Prof Sir Chris Whitty said the tests were a “very good guide actually to whether someone is at that moment infectious”.
