A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder after they were found with a dismembered human body stuffed into two suitcases.
Police made the discovery after they were tipped off about a car driving erratically near the EnglandWales border.
Officers believe there is only one victim, a woman, but forensic examinations are ongoing to confirm her identity.
They are continuing to question a woman in her 20s and a man in his 30s who were arrested at the scene in the Forest of Dean. Forensic examinations are under way and a large area of the forest remained sealed off last night after the find at Staunton, near Coleford, Glos.
Three forensic tents were in place at the entrance to Stowfield Quarry.
