UAE announces Dhs20,000 fine for circulating fake health news; global virus death toll crosses 154,600; Sharjah Police launch package of services for health staff.

We Will Win Fight Against Coronavirus: Mohammed

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, shared a motivating video of uniting the world to fight against the coronavirus, with the message “We will win.”

The inspiring video prepares us to stand up as one against this disease. The over-a minute video said, “For the first time in a long time there’s only one team to put our whole heart behind... “We’ll still have our (Most Valuable Players) MVPs and star players,” it added, describing the health workers, doctors, police, and emergency service members who have given up everything to join the battle against coronavirus.

The video also showed the UAE residents cheering the frontline workers from the balconies.

The speaker in the video said, “The whole world is playing from one side, we are one team. This is our homeground, this is our World Cup and we will win.”

More than 2.26 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 154,613 have died, according to a Reuters tally.

The UAE will fine people up to Dhs20,000 ($5,500) if they share medical information about the coronavirus that contradicts official statements.
