New features have not only managed to keep users around, but also increase the number of daily users from 100 million in 2016 to 500 million in 2021 – a whopping 50% surge!
The best part about Instagram, especially for photographers, is that it’s a totally visual application. Unlike Facebook which relies on both pictures and text, Instagram lays value on pictures primarily. So as a visual artist, Instagram is one of the top apps every photographer should use to showcase their work.
Your Instagram page effectively acts as your portfolio. If you want to acquire followers and keep them hooked, then it’s pretty obvious that you have to nail the art of creating an aesthetically amazing Insta feed.

Inspiration is the key to get your creative juices flowing. To curate an incredible Instagram page aesthetic, you need to do some detective work before you begin. Simply put, you need to make a note of some of the most famous Instagram celebrities and scroll through their page. These celebrities could be anyone, from your favourite photographer to the award-winning travel influencer or maybe even a business brand page.
When you go through their pages, you might notice a few things – the mood their page invokes in your mind, the layout and the kind of content they post. Make a list of the things that you liked the most and the ones that resonated with you. The items on the list would help in laying the groundwork for you to create your own distinguished Instagram identity!
