Choline is a vitamin-like nutrient. The egg is one of the rich sources of choline. The importance of choline is tremendous in the body during the different physiological processes. Phosphatidylcholine is an integral part of the cell membrane; choline serves as a precursor for the synthesis of membrane phospholipids.
