JoseJeuland races in the first On the Hills 10k in Singapore.
I was excited to participate, as due to work commitments and injury, the last time I ran a race was in September 2017. I wish I had more time to train, but I was very busy with my day-job as a photographer.
BEFORE
I started training three weeks before the race and it felt very good. My training was mostly short running jaunts to ease me back in to running and being able to run 10km at a stretch.
This race was a perfect way to push me to start training seriously again. Getting a good time in this was a fantastic short term goal, and a stepping stone to a longer event that I had lined up, The Force of Nature 64km.
I also picked up my race pack collection at Running Lab - Marina Square the weekend before. In the pack was a very pretty metallic bottle, and my wife loved it so much that I gave it to her. I say gave, but she really just took it!
