I don’t mind any serious match going Red having an opinion on a Liverpool player.
Be the opinion a positive or negative one. I’m from the “You pay yer money, yer entitled to an opinion” camp. I don’t like it though when someone who’s hardly seen the team play in the flesh, tries to tell me what our problems are or which player isn’t worthy of wearing our shirt. I’m from the “If you don’t go, you ain’t entitled to an opinion” camp. Look, I used to defend Barry Venison, Gary Ablett, Nicky Tanner and I’ll admit it, Steve Staunton when all around me would have had them dumped in the Mersey weighed down by a few tonnes of cement in their boots.
When Gary Neville and his slightly better looking brother started passing comments on our goalkeeping dilemma, like who was worse, Mignolet or Karius I found it hard to say too much because I wasn’t exactly sure myself. On the other hand when rooting through some vinyl LP’s I came across one by the Neville Brothers, not the Bury beauts but even so, I binned it citing guilt by association of name. Me Ma used to tell me everyone had a right to an opinion, but I used to say, “Not when it comes to football they’ve not”.

Transfer Me Back In Time@dmoenlfc
I took it upon myself at the end of last season to ignore anything to do with transfer activity this summer until I see the player in question with the usual scarf above head pose with hopefully a beaming Jürgen alongside.
