TGI: Will, what’s been the difference in the offense from Week 1 to now?
WH: We have been improving every day, especially in the communication department. That’s always a major part of a solid offensive line, you don’t have to be the most athletic, the strongest, or the fastest. So communication will make you look stronger, faster, etc. The mental part has been so much better which makes us look better.
TGI: The third down conversion efficiency has gone up each game. What do you attribute that to?
WH: It’s determination to make the yardage shorter, (being) aware that it’s just not another down. It’s like ‘okay, we have to get this first down’ - that’s the mentality we have now, then we have to go out and execute it. It takes everybody knowing what they have to do and cleaning it up every week.
I feel real comfortable with all the playcalling and my assignments. I expect a lot more from myself, where I’m supposed to be, what I’m supposed to do. — Will Hernandez
TGI: Tell me about the strides you’ve made from this point last season until now.
