Secret Of Safe Shampooing

We cannot stress enough on the importance of a good shampoo! Finding a suitable one can be an uphill task that most of us struggle with. Make sure to brief your client on how it’s easier to pick a right shampoo if she’s aware of hair type, hair texture, and hair and scalp issues. Striking out sulphates from the shampoo is the first step towards avoiding extensive hair damage. Sulfate-free shampoos are better alternatives as they minimise the damage. There are multiple variants available in this category and these are suitable to almost every hair type. But, before investing in one, it is necessary to understand its benefits.

HELPS RETAIN NATURAL OILS

Sulphates act as surfactants that are responsible for lathering. One usually uses shampoo to wash away the grime and dead skin cells and sulphate based shampoos work well in this scenario. However, constant usage of such shampoos can hamper the oil retention ability of the scalp, leaving the hair dry and lifeless. Shampoos free of sulphates or parabens are safer. Of course, they do not lather much and may require a little more scrubbing than usual, but they help maintain natural oils and prevent itchy scalp.
