Sex Before Marriage

Most young couples see sex as what bonds and emphasize their commitment to each other, which is not wrong. However, others feel it has to wait for that special occasion after marriage. One may ask if relationships of people who had sex before marriage differ with those who did it thereafter.

The act of sexual intercourse is a covenant between two people. During the act, these two people become one. Tiana and Jeremy Wiles indicate that, during intercourse, a woman produces a chemical called Oxytocin that makes her bond to the man with whom she is having sex. A man, on the other hand, produces vasopressin. So long as they make love, there will always be this chemical bond. This happens whether they are married or unmarried.

The spiritual side of a relationship, on the other hand, places an importance in the virginity of a woman before sex. Because this is a covenant between two people, it has to be concluded with a seal. If we studied the Bible or other religious books, we realize that blood played an important part in covenants between people and God. Therefore, during intercourse with a virgin, that blood becomes a powerful factor in that it connects you spiritually as well. The Bible's saying when two people have sex they become one may be based on the blood that is spilled during the act itself.
