YOUR cohabitation with your man is quite new itself, and needs special attention as you both need to properly adapt. When you both have children of your own living with you, and still have to shoulder blame for the separation of your boyfriend and his ex, things can be quite discouraging.

EMOTIONAL CONNECTION

It’s important to understand that your relationship with your stepchild is expectedly weak. This is due to the fact that you’ve just moved in with them, and you have little to zero emotional connection together.

Furthermore, the fact that you have little to no positive shared history together makes it extra challenging to develop a great relationship with your step-child.

Your shared history with the child seems a little sour. It is a concern that your step-son blames you for drifting his parents apart.

Firstly, it suggests that your step-son is of at an age that he can discern such adult information about why his parents are no longer together.
