It’s the reunion that millions of adoring fans around the world thought would never happen! The first new Friends show for 17 years is set to air on May 27, with the beloved sitcom’s six stars all lining up to take us on a walk down memory lane.
Fans who are hoping to catch up with their favourite characters, however, may be left disappointed as the HBO Max special is set to be unscripted, with actors Jennifer Aniston, 52, Courteney Cox, 56, Lisa Kudrow, 57, Matthew Perry, 51, Matt LeBlanc, 53 and David Schwimmer, 54, all appearing as themselves.
It’s believed the cast, who became household names overnight when the show debuted in 1994, will talk about their most memorable moments, although David has teased, “there is one section of it that I don’t want to give away, but we all read something”.
The show, called Friends: The Reunion, has been a long time coming, with none of the cast showing much excitement for an on-screen get-together over the years.
“I just don’t know if I want to see all of us with crutches and walkers,” David, who played nerdy Ross Geller, once said of a possible reboot.
