‘Fergie is his SOULMATE'

Royal biographer Duncan Larcombe explains why the Duchess of York’s love is unconditional
‘Fergie is his SOULMATE'
Prince Andrew’s ex-wife is one of the few people left by his side, but there’s more to her unwavering support than simple devotion and unconditional love.

One by one, the duke’s friends and family have turned their backs on the embattled royal, leaving him to face a sex assault case by himself.

The Queen has all but exiled her second son from The Firm and his military ties have been severed in a bitter blow for the Falklands veteran.

His posh chums and business associates stood back as the 61-year-old sold off his ski chalet to fund his legal defence. And last week even Prince William refused to say if his uncle could rely on his support.

The Grand Old Duke of York is now marching down the hill at such a pace, it seems he has become isolated and alone as he faces claims he sexually abused a teenager in 2001.

Standing together

Except Andrew is not alone. Throughout the entire decadelong Epstein scandal, Fergie has stood by the man she divorced a quarter of a century ago, in 1996, and the man she almost certainly still has a deep love for.
