Harry and Meghan THE UGLY TRUTH?

An ugly truth perhaps underpins Harry and Meghan’s plans for 2022, with conventional royal notions of duty again appearing to play second fiddle to dollars.

As the Queen prepares to mark her 70th year on the throne and the family rally round her in support, it seems that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have an agenda all of their own.

Like the rest of the family, Harry and Meghan will spend much of this year appearing in public, supporting worthy causes and fulfilling engagements packed into their busy schedules.

With at least two overseas tours in support of his charities and a host of star-studded events already in the diary, you could be forgiven for asking what has changed for Harry.

But the reality is, Meghan and Harry are now set on a collision course with the Palace as they promote themselves – and their bank balance – in America.

As the day-to-day duty of royal life grinds on for William, his brother is able to cherry-pick the offers and negotiate the terms of his and Meghan’s involvement.

Even the threat of being frozen out of the official Jubilee celebrations in June seems to have done little to persuade them to put their ambitions on hold.

Sources close to the power couple insist the duke and duchess ‘have a busy year ahead’ and plan to press on regardless of fears they are inflicting lasting damage on the monarchy.

In good spirits
