‘I'm Struggling To Cope

She’s usually a pillar of strength, so when Ruth Langsford had to remove herself from the This Morning set midway through a segment about anxiety and depression earlier this month, it was clear to see she’s struggling being back at work after tragically losing her sister Julia, 62, in June.

The 59-year-old presenter’s husband and co-host, Eamonn Holmes, was forced to hold the fort and told viewers, ‘This has featured in Ruth’s life, she’s upset now, she’s had to leave the studio because of her sister who was a chronic depressive and no matter what sort of help and medication – it didn’t really seem to make much difference.

‘Obviously these things are very raw for her at the moment following the death of her sister.’

And now, Ruth has admitted to her close family and friends she’s not coping. A source tells Woman, ‘She has told friends that she wakes in the morning to a feeling of ease to then only minutes later be flooded with feelings of loss and the memory of her beloved sister.’

Eamonn has apparently suggested she have some more time off from her presenting duties, but Ruth has refused, insisting she’s living life to the full in memory of her sister.
