With her smooth skin, killer body and flowing raven locks, Nigella Lawson looks every inch a glamorous forty-something enjoying the prime of her life.
But, astonishingly, the foodie goddess is set to turn 60 in January. Hitting that milestone birthday as a single lady, with an uncertain future, would be enough to send many of us into a panic. Nigella, however, is not just any woman.
In fact, having shed 2st and embarked on a total overhaul of her life, she is more comfortable in her own skin than at any time since her twenties.
‘She’s walked a rocky road in recent years and at times life got on top of her, as she would be the first to admit,’ a long-standing friend tells Woman.
‘However, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that she’s the happiest she’s been in years right now. Turning 60 doesn’t bother her in the slightest – she’s finally living the life she wants to live without having to answer to anybody else.’
TAKING CONTROL
Nigella’s new-found confidence isn’t hard to see and it’s thought to be partly due to her slimmed-down figure and glowing complexion.
Her thriving career sees her shuttling between Australia, where she is now a massive star, and her home in England, where she is on the verge of national treasure status.
