Boyzlife singer Brian McFadden chats about his perfect Christmas Day, his new band, and reveals he once tried Botox.
It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly two decades since Brian McFadden shot to fame in Irish boy band Westlife. But while partying was the order of the day back then, Brian’s more likely to be carried away by his passion for golf these days. and he admits he’ll even be out playing on Christmas Day! after quitting Westlife in 2004, Brian enjoyed a solo career, as well as branching out into TV. He spent three years as a judge on Australia’s Got Talent and also took part in 2016’s The Jump. now he’s returned to his first love, joining forces with Boyzone singer Keith Duffy to form Boyzlife. Brian, 37, lives in Rochdale, Lancashire, with his girlfriend, PE teacher Danielle Parkinson. He talks to us about friendships, falling in love and his plans for the festive season…
‘I like Christmas to be absolutely over the top! I even like the TV commercials, they get me buzzing for it. I love the tree to be full of decorations, snow on the windows, and Santa Claus and a reindeer in the garden. I really enjoy buying presents for my kids and my family and I always love listening to Now That’s What I Call Christmas – I start listening to it in November!’
