Ready to reboot your regime? Ditch these common exercise mistakes and the weight loss will follow, fast!
EXERCISE MISTAKE #1
Snacking after exercise
Do you finish a workout, then reward yourself with a tasty treat? Many of us burn fewer than 300 calories during a session, and that hard work is easily cancelled out if you then treat yourself to a chocolate bar or a smoothie on the way home.
SORT IT Skip the calorific snacks and have a healthy meal once you’re home – ideally within two hours. After longer sessions or heavy strength training, eat as soon as you can to refuel muscles and restore energy. ‘But make it a small handful of nuts or a protein shake,’ says personal trainer Rebecca Fredericks*.
