10 Green Ways To Clean Your Home

Commercial cleaning products are expensive and are often bad for the environment. Not only do they contain per fumes and fragrances that can be harmful but also contain hazardous ingredients. The fact is that it is not necessary for you to expose yourself and your family to the harmful side effects of using such cleaning products.

All of the products mentioned below are natural and good for environment as well.

Glass and MIRRORS

Forget ammonia-based window cleaners. You can clean your windows effectively with four table spoons of lemon juice mixed with a half litre of water. Other effective cleaners for glass and mirrors are rubbing alcohol and a small piece of garlic.

Another tip is that you can wipe your windows with newspapers. This may sound like a totally green idea but for convenience. Try using a clean old cotton T-shirt rather than a newspaper.

Furniture POLISHING

Furniture polish is usually made of petroleum distillates and solvents, which are poisonous. So, why keep them around when there are many green ways to polish your wood instead?

We can make an effective wood polish by mixing two parts of olive oil with one part of lemon juice and apply it to the furniture using a soft cloth. This will give wood furniture a nice shine.
