Itʼs a matter of aesthetics.
It takes effort, and an aesthetic bent of mind, to be able to pull a room together, and make it fabulous yet functional at the same time. Not everyone can afford the services of a professional interior designer. Some of us actually want to make our own design decisions, using our own individual styles and preferences.
Let’s look at ways to take our interiors from boring to beautiful, using our own unique preferences and indulging our good tastes. Let’s take a look at some tips to help you begin organising and designing your rooms into a space that you previously thought only a professional designer could create.
Create inspiration boards
If you have not put together an inspiration board for your home décor, THEN BEGIN NOW. This is the first step toward creating the home you desire. Look through magazines and design websites, and gather images that excite you, or simply grab some design magazines and cut out images that connect to your heart. After gathering creative images that inspire you, take a look at all those you have collected; you may feel pleasantly surprised to see the design style that you have created.
Use three colours or shades
Now that you have created your own style, you may now want to choose a colour scheme. Colours are personal and create moods within us that inspire. Look at your inspiration boards, what colours are prominent in the rooms that you have saved.
