Lively social gatherings with drinks and music invite us all with open arms. We hop from one party to another get-together, from a card-party to a private concert. We munch junk food, hog on fried stuff, drink merrily, dance till our muscles start to ache, and forget all about our mundane monotonous life. Well, that’s what the festivities are for, isn’t it? But however much we want, we have got to return to our daily routine. It is only then that we realise how much we have exhausted our bodies.

Partying is not bad. In fact, we need to break away from our everyday chores and day-to-day schedules, and parties come to our rescue. Yet, when we need to return to our own normal daily existence, some easy-tofollow tips can help us. So, friends, let’s party hard and detox harder.

After-party morning

Naini Setalvad, Mumbai-based nutritionist and obesity consultant, advises a high-protein meal especially in the morning to help prevent overeating the rest of the day. Protein keeps you satisfied for a longer time, ultimately reducing overall calorie intake. Some of the good options are egg whites, chicken, lean fish, low fat/nonfat milk, low fat yogurt, soy milk.
