Kathy Freeman, Marilyn Monroe, Your Superhero of a Mum – All Female Icons and All Play a Part in Inspiring You to Be Confident in Your Own Skin. But How Does Female Empowerment Relate to Overall Good Health – Both in the Gym and in Life?
“Female empowerment is not only about equality and being able to achieve greatness, but also about living authentically and individually,” says psychologist and nutritional health coach, and founder of Fermentanicals, Jayta Szpitalak (fermentanicals.com.au).
“The word empowerment embodies every female’s own unique interpretation of how they would like to express the meaning of that word, or rather their purpose – whether this is to become a high-powered executive or to stay at home, it’s empowerment as long as it’s what you want or desire in life.”
In other words, empowerment is a critical ingredient for women to believe in themselves, to learn to have a voice and to be resilient in all aspects of their lives.

Yes, Wonder Woman joined Batman and Superman on the superhero scene and Gillard joined the men in Parliament, but there’s more to empowerment than career success. Szpitalak believes health is a key vehicle on the road to female empowerment given its links to self-love and self-confidence.
