The name Ar. Balkrishna V. Doshi became an institution in world & Indian architecture. His death recently shook the architectural world. In his honour, Forum 'ROAD' (Room Open 2 Art Design) organised a 3-day architectural event 'Mi Balkrishna Doshi'in remembrance of the renowned architect between August 25-27, 2023.
BV Doshi was the pivotal figure in shaping modern architecture in India. He became the first Indian to receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize, the highest honour in Architecture. He passed away in January 2023 leaving his profound impact on architecture, art, culture & philosophy in India and beyond. Doshi's formative years in Pune infused him with a deep fondness for the city.
On his birth anniversary, August 26th, Team ROAD honoured his legacy with this event as a tribute to Doshi's remarkable contributions. It also offered Pune's residents a captivating glimpse into his architectural world.
