NEERJA KAPADIA
A UNIQUE BLEND

"The initial vision was to blend mid-century modern design with an Indian aesthetic. This involved carefully curating a significant amount of art and guiding the clients in choosing more art pieces in the future to enhance the overall aesthetic." - Faisal Manzur, Principal Architect, FMDS

Bathed in earthy tones, the living room houses sleek loungers and side tables by Wood & Design, a rich console from Kerala which was preowned by the client and an immersive painting by Savitha Ravi.

Sabyasachi wallpaper in the daughter's bedroom adds a touch of beautiful whimsy. (BOTTOM) Framed by a curved curtain, a cosy day bed offers the perfect spot to relax, while the sleek crockery unit from Niroka in the dining area blends warm and cool tones.

"Our design philosophy at FMDS is traditionalising the modern. The attempt is to always stay rooted in our design decisions, often drawing inspiration from old Madras homes, looping their functionality and patterns into clean lines." - Faisal Manzur, Principal Architect, FMDS
