This tough machine, known for its ability to handle extreme terrains and heavy loads, laid the foundation for the Gurkha moniker coined in 1992. Inspired by the fearless Gurkha warriors, the "Trax Gurkha" promised unmatched off-road capability.
Earning recognition for its reliable powertrain and rugged build, the Gurkha became an independent Force offering in 2005. This "Terrain Tamer" quickly established itself as the best indigenous off-roader in India, conquering mountains and traversing streams with ease. The Gurkha's legacy has continued to evolve, culminating in the 2024 update, which introduces a highly anticipated five-door variant.
Unlike most facelifts, the 2024 Gurkha retains the iconic silhouette that has become synonymous with off-road prowess. The five-door variant, however, adds a touch of practicality with additional doors, an extra row of seats, and increased ground clearance.
A new color option reminiscent of the Scorpio N adds a touch of freshness, while larger wheels further enhance the Gurkha's imposing stance. The five-door variant, in particular, strikes a better balance between height and length, resulting in a more proportionate look.
The Gurkha's road presence remains unmatched. It dwarfs Innovas with its sheer size and commanding presence. This character is further accentuated by a range of accessories like auxiliary lights, a snorkel, a roof carrier with jerry can holders, a tow hook, and a windscreen protector.
