Something of a time-travelling report this month, as Simon looks back to the tail end of 2024 and the miles he covered on the Voge

The build-up to Christmas and the New Year is always busy at Motorcycle Sport and Leisure HQ, but I was really keen to get out on the Voge and put some serious miles on the clock. The question was, where to go?

My colleague Jono and I decided we would take a little ride down south. Now, I've never been one for doing big miles and the ride was going to be further than I had done before on a bike, so, I was more than happy to have someone riding with me.

With rooms booked at a hotel chain, which may have a purple logo and boasts of the comfort of its beds, and Jono ready on a Triumph, I loaded up the Voge with all three panniers.

With a Friday morning still to work in the office and the rest of the day booked off for our trip heading into the weekend, we finally headed south. I had my trusty Shad phone holder on the handlebars, and with my mobile secured, and Google Maps on the screen, I frowned at the near four-hour ride we had ahead of us.
