NASCAR villain Busch quits as Preece proves racing's for the young
CRASH COURSE IN RETIREMENT!

NASCAR bad boy Kurt Busch officially quit racing the same day driver Ryan Preece cheated death in a terrifying crash at Daytona International Speedway when his car flew 20 feet into the air and flipped over more than ten times before slamming to rest.

Hard-nosed Busch - who reveled in being labeled racing fans' Public Enemy No. 1 admits the battering he took from 166 races over 21 years was behind his Aug. 26 retirement, saying: "My body is having a battle with Father Time."

But fans who witnessed Preece's No. 41 Mustang pancake during a Cup Series race at the Florida track could understand Busch's wanting to get out before it was too late.
