PAYS HEARTFELT TRIBUTE AS HE MAKES SWEET GESTURE TO BEREAVED CHILDREN

As the rest of the royal family gathered at the Cenotaph in London for the annual National Service of Remembrance, the Duke of Sussex paid his own touching tribute to fallen soldiers.

Prince Harry marked Remembrance Day - as well as Veterans Day in the US - by offering his "deepest respect and thanks" to those who have served and expressing his "lifelong admiration and appreciation" for veterans and their families.

In a heartfelt statement posted on the Sussex.​com website he shares with his wife the Duchess, Harry told both serving and former soldiers: "You have played a vital role in defending the values of liberty, freedom and security. These values bind us together and have shaped you as leaders and role models."

He added: "To all those who have served - past and present - I offer my deepest respect and thanks. Your service has made a lasting, positive impact for our communities, our nations and our shared future. I am honoured to stand with you."
