Jodie Wells’ romance with James ‘Diags’ Bennewith has had TOWIE viewers gripped – even without them being in a love triangle with his ex Elma Pazar. Now, they tell new all about Jodie’s move to Essex with her two-year-old son Bear. Viewers have just seen her tot make his first ever super cute appearance on the show after Diags gave Jodie a key to his home in emotional scenes at the end of the last series.
One of the newest cast members to join, and originally an extra, Jodie reveals why she has her eye on a quiet spot in Essex, to help Diags get out of a party mindset and into a family-oriented one, and she opens up about how she’s looking for a place with spare beds – to add to their family.
Fan favourite Diags, 33, also lifts the lid on the text he sent Elma, which outraged cast members and viewers and caused no end of fireworks. After all the work Jodie and Elma had done putting past clashes behind them, Diags now admits,“There couldn’t have been a worse person to send that message to.”
So, is it all water under the bridge for the pair, for now?
Here, they tell us all...
Hi, Jodie! James acted pretty poorly sending that text to Elma at the start of the series telling her he missed her. How are you feeling about that?
He’s just an idiot – he has a drink and he just thinks all of his jokes are funny, and they’re not. I don’t think there was anything behind it. I just think he was just trying to be funny. But it’s a joke at my expense.
How are you both doing since that?
Yeah, we’re OK now me and him. And me and Elma are good. Off screen and on screen we have had conversations, we went on a night out. We’re at a really good place and it’s going well. Hopefully it will stay like this.
You looked a bit shocked when Diags gave you a key to his flat in the last series?
