"Really upset" Gemma Collins offers a stark warning to her Instagram followers after scammers used her image in a weight-loss pill hoax
Gemma Collins famously told her ex-boyfriend James Argent, "Take a good look at this, you ain't ever gonna get this candy," as her sarong fell to the floor.
Ever since that iconic episode of TOWIE, the reality TV star hasn't held back when it comes to flaunting her curvaceous body.
So when the 42-year-old's image was used in a diet pill scam, Gemma aka the GCrushed to Instagram to defend herself and assured followers she had no part to play in it.
The GC told her fans that she had been made aware of a Facebook post that used her image in order to target individuals hoping to lose a few pounds. The hoax alluded to Gemma taking diet pills that helped her shed weight.
Alongside two glamorous snaps of herself posing in swimwear, she wrote, "Hey everyone just checking in as it's been brought to my attention and I am getting so many messages regarding someone on Facebook is advertising slimming pills with my pictures attached!"
Adding a sense of urgency to her message, she wrote, "PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS!!"
Despite putting on a brave front with a stark warning to her 2.2m Instagram followers to not fall for the trap, a source has claimed that beneath the surface, Gemma is "really upset" about the fake ad.
"Gemma is happy with how she looks, so these claims have been upsetting," they told new.
