'I was single for nine years-I'm fussy!

She's a pop icon with more than four decades of experience in the showbiz industry, not to mention her high-profile social life. But these days, Sinitta is busy juggling being the mother of teenagers while carving out time for herself too.

Speaking at London's Spring Ball, the So Macho singer, who rose to fame with the single in 1986, opens up about life as a mum, her famous pals and finally finding "Mr Right".

"I am dating someone and he's a really nice man. It's nice, I'm happy. He's obsessed with football, but that's fine, I'd rather that than other things. It's good," says Sinitta, 60, of her new romance.

Sinitta was married to Andy Willner from 2002 until 2010, and is mum to adopted children Zac and Magdalena, both 18. And the star admits that her kids were more chuffed to see her in a relationship than she was!

"I didn't date for a long time; I was single for eight and a half, nine years... I think they know I'm fussy and it took me a long time to find someone, so they trust that. Before I was with him, my son said to me, 'I don't think you should be alone all the time, all your friends are gay.' So he was more worried about my sex life than I was - but now I'm OK!" she laughs.
