Katie Price had a week from hell as she underwent yet another painful facelift in Turkey, only to return to the UK to be arrested at the airport where she declared, “I’m being treated like a criminal.” The reality TV star travelled to Turkey with her Married At First Sight boyfriend JJ Slater – resulting in a warrant being issued for her arrest, after she missed a scheduled bankruptcy court hearing.
While she told her 2.7m social media followers she was “working on a documentary on corrective surgeries”, she shared photos of herself wearing surgical stockings, and was pictured with painful-looking surgical wounds.
Ahead of her return to the UK, she posted, “I am aware that I am about to be detained at the airport, which is obviously what the courts feel is necessary.
“While I understand the importance and severity of the matter, I do feel like I am being treated like a criminal. I would like to point out once again that this is to do with a very unfortunate financial circumstance, which, as hard as it has been, does not make me a criminal or bad person.”
Following her arrest at Heathrow Airport, Katie appeared in front of Judge Daniel Schaffer at London’s Royal Courts of Justice, who ordered her to give an “undertaking” she would attend a further hearing on 27 August, warning, “You have to attend that date. No ifs or buts, no going abroad, no holidays.”
A source told new, “Her family is really worried about the prospect of her going to jail. She’s still recovering from invasive surgery.
“She’s the sole carer of Harvey so that’s a big question mark, too – what plans has she got in place for him? It’s a real mess.”
The 46-year-old mum-of-five, who admits she’s “addicted” to going under the knife, was abroad for her sixth facelift, which cost £10,000.
