Katie Price is as famed for her various surgeries, nips, tucks and tweakments, as she is for her telly gigs, tumultuous love life and bankruptcy battles. Her past surgeries have included a nose job, veneers, lip fillers, liposuction and Botox, culminating in her first facelift in 2017. But her most famous surgical procedure has to be her boob jobs – a whopping 17 in total.
And one man who knows what it’s like to live with someone constantly going under the knife in a quest for perfection is Katie’s ex-fiancé, Carl Woods.
Carl and Katie were on and off for three and a half years, before the relationship ended last November. They met through friends in 2020, and announced their engagement 10 months later, in 2021.
Talking exclusively to new about his famous ex, the 35-year-old confesses his deepest fear – that after two decades under the surgeon’s scalpel, Katie’s “surgery addiction”, which shows no sign of stopping, could one day cost her her life.
Having recently had a £10,000 facelift in Turkey – Katie’s sixth to date – the reality star, 46, even seemed to goodnaturedly poke fun at herself when she said, “I look plastic because I am plastic. At least I tell you all what I’ve done.”
For Carl, a business entrepreneur from Essex who appeared on Love Island in 2016, Katie’s many surgeries are part of a potentially fatal “mission for perfection”.
“They say in your life you can only have so much anaesthetic before it’s a problem. And like everything in her life, Kate likes to push the boundaries. I feel like she’ll never be happy,” he says.
“Unfortunately, there could be that final time she doesn’t wake up. Sadly, I do 100% believe that could happen. But Kate never spoke to me about being scared about it, she’d brush off all that talk.”
