The showbiz world was in mourning last week after TV legend and Murder, She Wrote star Dame Angela Lansbury passed away at the age of 96. A statement released on Tuesday said, “The children of Dame Angela Lansbury are sad to announce that their mother died peacefully in her sleep at home in Los Angeles at 1.30am today, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, just five days shy of her 97th birthday.”
Stars were quick to pay tribute to the actress, who was most famous for playing Jessica Fletcher in the much-loved murder mystery series for 12 years. Sharing a gorgeous pic of the star with her followers, Holly Willoughby, 41, wrote,”Waking up to the sad news that Dame Angela Lansbury has passed away… she was part of so many of my favourite things growing up… Bedknobs And Broomsticks, Beauty And The Beast and perhaps my favourite Murder, She Wrote… A love affair with the murder mystery was born from there… thank you Dame Angela for everything.”
