James Haskell and his wife Chloe Madeley are used to being in the spotlight, but as they welcome OK! into their beautiful home, we think they could be forgiven for wishing to dial down some of the recent attention just a little.
As they open their doors for a new reality show, Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair, they’ve also been subject to speculation regarding the state of their marriage, after pictures emerged of James hugging PR boss Martine Bridge, 39, outside celebrity hotspot Chiltern Firehouse and Chloe, 36, was spotted without her wedding ring during a girls’ night out in London.
But when he sits down with OK! to talk about the family’s latest chapter, James is upfront about the fiery relationship he shares with Chloe and keen to show just how much admiration he has for his wife.
“Chloe picks up the flak way more than I do though when it comes to parenting,” he tells us. “She is much more hands-on.”
He adds, “I was away a lot but as Bodhi gets older I’m learning that I need to change and adjust things. She is a massive priority and every moment with her is precious. When I’m back I try to make up for it, so it’s a constant balancing act. Do I always get it right? Probably not. Will I endeavour to be better? Yes, of course.”
With the rumour mill going into overdrive, the 38-year-old DJ said that he and Chloe had been "arguing" as she viewed an extended summer work trip as a "holiday" for him and was "furious" as she had to care for Bodhi, 14 months, at home alone. To add fuel to the fire, James later posted a message on Instagram about a "lonely life" after Chloe ditched her wedding band.
