The Queen Consort couldn't resist a cuddle as she posed for a photo with some of the 1,000-plus toy bears left by the public in tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II. Camilla promised that the teddies, which are being donated to children's charity Barnardo's, had been "well looked after" at Clarence House last week before making their way to their new homes.
The bears made up of Paddingtons and other teddies had been left by mourners outside Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle following the Queen's death last month.
Soft toys were collected from Hyde Park, St James's Park and the Long Walk in Windsor and professionally cleaned, ready for delivery to Barnardo's children's services in the coming weeks, Buckingham Palace said.
