We can’t keep up with reports surrounding Helen Flanagan’s love life. One week she’s embracing single life, the next she’s back with her former fiancé Scott Sinclair.
So when we’re invited to her home in Lancashire for an exclusive shoot with her three children, we’re keen to set the record straight.
The former Coronation Street star, 32, answers the door looking as glam as ever, hair and make-up perfectly in place, despite still being in her PJs, and invites us in. Her two-year-old son Charlie is being entertained by Paddington Bear with the childminder in the kitchen/lounge as we’re given a tour of the house she once shared with footballer Scott.
We settle down for our chat in Helen’s huge bedroom – complete with balcony and open gas fire. It’s the first time she’s spoken publicly since it was reported in October that they’d split after 13 years together. “We actually broke up in July,” Helen tells us, before addressing their alleged reconciliation.
Just the week before our shoot, newspapers reported she was back with Scott following a “secret” holiday in Dubai with him. “Scott was there on a break from training, so we spent a day together with the kids,” she reveals. “That was it.”
Helen was later pictured wearing a ring on her engagement finger, fuelling rumours even further, but she laughs, “That’s so typical of me – I didn’t even think about wearing a ring on that finger!” And while it wasn’t her engagement ring, she tells us she didn’t give the sparkler back to Scott and has kept it, saying, “My ring’s my ring, it’s for my girls.”
