Imbewu – The Seed’s fifth season has been a thrill ride of deception, tears and broken relationships for rising oil magnate businessman Zithulele Bhengu (Raphael Griffiths) – and it’s a ride that’s about to come to a crashing halt.

Charming, optimistic Zithulele has decided to put all the drama of his past, including his recent divorce from Nokuzola (Vuyiseka Cawe) and his live TV meltdown over Baby Nozi’s (Mpendulo Mcineka – the show was unable to provide a photo) abduction, behind him and move on. This decision leads him to spending a passionate night in bed with Sibongile (Sindisiwe Zondo), which develops into something deeper when Zithulele and Sibongile realise that there’s more between them than just sexual chemistry, and they decide to become a couple.

RED LIGHT, RED FLAG

But pump the brakes on them being Imbewu’s newest power pair. These lovers might just dig their own graves when they are involved in a hit-and-run accident that results in the death of Mzwandile’s (Nduduzo Zuma) younger sister Slindile (Lynn Williems).
