ALMOST A DECADE AFTER HER MURDER CONVICTION WAS QUASHED, THE ACTIVIST IS FACING A NEW COURT DRAMA IN ITALY

Since walking free from an Italian prison in 2011 and being exonerated of killing Meredith Kercher in 2015, Amanda Knox has fully embraced life back in the US. She has married, had two children and started new careers as an author, podcaster and activist who campaigns for better awareness of forced confessions.

However, her days of legal trouble aren't over yet, with Knox finding herself back on trial on April 10 in a Florence court over charges of slander. The accusations have long since cast a shadow for many over her innocence.

"On the one hand, I am glad I have this chance to clear my name, and hopefully that will take away the stigma that I have been living with," Knox said of her approaching court date in December on her Labyrinths podcast.
