ON THE EVE OF ANOTHER SEASON OF MKR, WHO GRABBED A SEAT AT THE TABLE WITH THE PERFECT HOSTS

Colin & Many - Living life to the fullest

After a disappointing season in 2022, My Kitchen Rules hosts Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge are convinced they’ve hit on a winning combination this year. “I think people will be surprised by how funny it is,” the Irish-born Fassnidge says. “It’s got a sense of humour,” agrees Feildel.

“I don’t want to criticise what we did last year because things can’t just work the way we always want them to work, but I feel like this year, we’ve got everything to make the perfect recipe. You have to try to refine it each year and find the balance.”

WHO caught up with the pair to discuss the latest season, their new approach and to remember their late friend, Jock Zonfrillo.

Tell me about this coming season of MKR?

MANU FEILDEL: We used to have a lot of drama in the old way of doing MKR and last year, we tried to get rid of all the drama – and that didn’t work as well as we thought. So I think now we’ve got a lot of love, a little bit of drama and great food. Absolutely, better food this time around. The hosts are amazing!

COLIN FASSNIDGE: They are starting to listen to us now. It’s a lot funnier this year. When we finished filming, we said, “This is good.” You sort of know when it works and when it doesn’t.

MF: They let us be who we are this season.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun then?
