Momo's Strange Adventure

It was a special day for Momo mouse. With all the people out of the house he lived next to, he finally had the liberty to roam around without fear.

He headed straight to the kitchen without hesitation, eager to find a meal. However, to his dismay, it seemed that no food had been prepared that day, and he found no leftover crumbs to eat.

"Maybe there's something in the other rooms," he thought and went to the living room. He had never been there before, and was amazed at everything he saw.

"Wow! What a beautiful world this is. There are lovely pictures on the shelves, a carpet and a plush cushioned sofa too," he squeaked, bouncing up and down on the sofa.

Just then, his eyes fell on a strange black object on the sofa. It was the television remote.

"What's this?" Momo sniffed at it, and turned it over with his paws.

"Could this be edible?" he wondered and was about to bite it when he accidentally touched a button on the remote, and the television burst into life.

Momo was startled by the bright lights and loud sounds on the screen. It was the first time he had seen such magic. A cartoon channel was playing on the television, where a big cat was chasing a little mouse.

“Hey, this is my biggest real-life fear! I can’t watch this,” Momo was horrified, and fiddled with the remote.

He pressed another button, and the channel changed. The television was now showing a dance programme. People in colourful clothes were swaying and moving in rhythm. Momo’s eyes lit up.
