This year's IBC event focused on AI applications, combating disinformation, and promoting sustainability in media production. New features like the AI Tech Zone and IBC Talent Programme highlighted IBC's role as a hub for industry innovation and collaboration.

IBC2024 wrapped up, attracting 45,085 visitors from 170 countries to the RAI Amsterdam from 13-16 September. This marked a significant increase in participation compared to last year’s event. The global media, entertainment, and technology communities came together to showcase and explore the latest innovations, tackle the industry’s most pressing challenges, and uncover new opportunities for growth and collaboration. In addition to surpassing last year’s visitor numbers by over 2,000, the show also featured more than 1,350 exhibitors, an increase of 100 from the previous year. The total exhibition space grew as well, reaching 46,000 square meters, exceeding 2023’s total of 44,500 square meters.
KEY TRENDS AND THEMES ADDRESSED The 2024 edition of IBC addressed key industry trends and issues, such as the rise of artificial intelligence, the fight against disinformation, and the growing importance of sustainability. Attendees engaged with various new features, including the AI Tech Zone and the inaugural IBC Talent Programme, which drew significant attention on the show floor and across packed theatres. These new initiatives demonstrated IBC’s commitment to fostering industry growth and innovation, providing a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange across the media landscape.
