On a chilly January morning, TV&Satellite Week arrives at a country house in Cheshire that is doubling as an Edwardian mansion for the penultimate episode in the last-ever series of Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith’s darkly comic anthology Inside No. 9.
In Curse of the Ninth, Jonah (Shearsmith) is summoned to the home of late composer Nathaniel (Eddie Marsan) by his widow Lillian (Natalie Dormer) to tune the piano. But after making a chance discovery, Jonah finds himself considering the classical superstition that when a composer begins working on their ninth symphony, their death is not far away…
