NEW DRAMA
Showtrial Sunday, 9pm, BBC1 (box set, BBC iPlayer)
The first season of legal drama Showtrial saw arrogant posh girl Talitha stand trial for the murder of a fellow student. Now, as the series returns with a new storyline and cast, another conceited character is in the dock - this time, police officer Justin Mitchell (Michael Socha), who is accused of being involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision while driving.
The victim is bike-riding climate-change activist Marcus Calderwood, who dies of his injuries, but not before naming Justin as the driver who hit him.
The seemingly unperturbed police officer engages solicitor Sam Malik (Adeel Akhtar), who has a history of winning cases against the odds.
