NEW COMEDY
The Cleaner
Friday, 9.30pm, BBC1 (box set, BBC iPlayer)
Greg Davies gets his hands dirty again this week as crime-scene cleaner Paul 'Wicky' Wickstead returns to tackle more murderous messes in series two of BBC1's darkly comic The Cleaner.
The new six-part run, cowritten by Davies, sees Wicky armed with his chemical kitbag, scrubbing brushes and cleaning rags as he removes grisly human remains from a range of crime scenes - including an electrical goods store and a stately home.
In the opening episode, Wicky faces a test of self-control - a clean-up job in a pub - after he's promised his new girlfriend he'll lay off the booze.
