The SureFire name should be familiar to everyone who has ever walked into a gun shop. If not, this is your cue. The SureFire X300 Turbo throws an impressive 650 lumens out of a light you can attach to your handgun. You'll need an accessory rail to clamp the X300 to, but that's not much of a problem these days. It seems that every pistol made, with the exception of some subcompact ones, has an accessory rail, aka a Picatinny rail. The X300 Turbo comes with the universal quick-attach system installed. You can swap that for the Picatinny QD or the Rail-Lock system, as those parts are included.
