Lizbeth size 10 crochet cotton thread (122 yds per ball): 4 balls #602 natural* 1 ball each #632 purple med*, #153 rainbow taffy*, #658 ocean turquoise It, #629 azalea It, # 620 azalea med, #663 bright turquoise dk*, #696 autumn orange med, #649 baby blue, #628 salmon med, #647 purple iris dk*, #688 seagreen dk and #615 yellow It*

Size 7/1.65mm steel hook or size needed to obtain gauge

Tapestry needle

GAUGE

Square 9: Rnds 1-4 = 1/4 inches

Square 10: Rnds 1-4 = 1/4 inches Take time to check gauge.

PATTERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work progresses.

Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

Chain-1 at beginning of round preceding double crochet or popcorn should be done loosely.

It does not count as a stitch.

SPECIAL STITCHES

Split double crochet decrease (split dc dec): Yo, insert hook in indicated sp, yo, pull up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook (2 lps on hook), sk next sc, yo, insert hook in next sp, yo, pull up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook (3 lps on hook), yo, draw through all 3 lps on hook.

V-stitch (V-st): (Dc, ch 3, dc) in indicated st or sp.

Popcorn (pc): 4 dc in indicated sp, drop lp from hook, insert hook from front to back in top of first dc, pick up dropped lp, draw through lp on hook, ch 1 (to close st).

SQUARE #9

Make 1 in colors specified & 1 in natural.

Rnd 1 (RS): With yellow lt, form a slip ring (see illustration), ch 1, 12 hdc in ring, join (see Pattern Notes) in beg hdc, pull beg length to close ring. (12 hdc)
