KRISTINA JENSEN'S COLOURFUL, QUIRKY CHRISTMAS DECOR IS INSPIRED BY FAIRY TALES, FAMILY AND FUN
Lina Östling
WINTER WONDERLAND

Pink flamingos aren't your typical Christmas table accent, but then, Kristina Jensen's style is anything but typical. Being an area manager for Danish interior designer, Rice, means Kristina has a love of quirky, colourful homeware, and just like the brand, there is a sense of fun everywhere you look. To see the sweet countryside cottage she shares with her partner, Mattias, and their grown-up daughters, Alva and Elsa, done up for Christmas is a wonder indeed - 'Alice in Wonderland' is even a reference point. "I love the classic British style, Tricia Guild, Ralph Lauren, mixed with my personal taste and the playfulness in Rice," says Kristina. "It's twist of everything. I don't think too much about it, it all comes together. I instinctively think outside the box." For instance, Kristina will not buy two identical lamps for two identical windows, she'll always dress the space with a contrast of styles that go together. "I simply decide on two or three colours that go together, so it won't look messy and it still feels calm even though the colours are strong."
