YOU WILL NEED

Materials are for the whole Blanket

■Caron Simply Soft (100% acrylic, 170.1g/288m) 4 balls of Off White (9702) 3 balls of each: Blue Mint (9608) Robin's Egg (9780) 2 balls of each: Gold (9782) Fuchsia (9764)

■A 5.5mm (US H/8) hook

■Stitch markers or scrap yarn

TENSION

Rounds 1-10 to measure approx 10cm (4in) in diameter

MEASUREMENTS

Finished Blanket measures approx 145x145cm (57x57in)

ABBREVIATIONS

standing sts A standing st at beg of the round is worked starting with a slip knot on the hook, then the st indicated is worked as normal in the st or sp specified

x-tr Skip next st, tr in number of sts specified (x-2tr, 2 sts; x-3tr, 3 sts) tr in skipped st, working in front of tr just worked FP/BP (Front Post/Back Post sts) For a FP st, insert hook from front to back to front around post of st in prev round (or st specified) and complete st as normal. For a BP st, insert hook from back to front to back around post

third loop The third loop of a htr st is the loop of yarn across the post of the st at the back. To work into the third loop, insert hook under this loop instead of the 2 loops on top of the st For a full list, see page 94
